Cramping/pain in ribs?!

Question: It really feels like I have period cramps, but they're right behind my ribs in the front. I have asthma and bronchitis, so I don't know if this is related to it or not? Something of concern?

If the cramps are on both sides of your chest, it's possibly related to your asthma.
If they're like what I think that they're like (a sharp pain when you inhale?) I suggest exhaling and then inhaling as slowly as you can. If I'm right, one or two of those should fix the problem.

If they don't go away in a while, you might want to consult a professional. There are telephone numbers that you can call that will connect you to organizations that employ RNs for the specific purpose of telling you how to proceed in a medical situation; I am including the Google results page from my search:

Maybe pneumonia, when I had pneumonia I had pain in my ribs and back and when I breathed in ..it hurt.

Sounds like they could be related, I'd say it's Respiratory. Seek advice off your Doctor, i wouldn't mess about, get i checked it to be on the safe side hon'..

I know its gross, but it sounds like you have a huge poop stuck in your intestines! It could be caused by the medication you are taking for your other illnesses. Many medications can cause constipation.

Bronchitis means your coughing right? So if you coughing that means your putting strain on muscles you usually don't. SO the cramping is most likely a reaction to the muscles being stressed. or used more than usual.

Have you experienced this prior to your periods? If the rib pain is worse when you take deep breath, then it's likely that it's respiratory related. It also depends on when you have the pain, there are different causes i.e GERD, angina etc. Asthma and bronchitis cause you to have shortness of breath, cough, or sputum production, but not rib pain. Please seek medical help.

Sounds like pleurisy, which is an inflammation of the lining of the lung cavity. Takes awhile to get rid of and it really hurts when you breathe like a muscle cramp.
