Any time you have shortness of breath or chest pain or pressure you should call your doctor if he is available or go to the ER, escpecially since you have the history of the murmur. It may be nothing slight anxiety or cold symptoms or it could be something very serious like a heart attack. If you go to the ER they will do an EKG which will show if you are having cardiac problems and probablly a chest X-Ray which would show a picture of your heart and lungs. The main thing to know is that chest tightness and difficulty breathing may be signs of very serious medical problems and going to see a doctor is the only way to know for sure. Waiting until tomorrow may not be the best choice because if it is a heart attack for example the longer you wait to get treatment the more damage there is to the heart. Good luck and I hope it turns out being nothing!

sound like a few things
an asthma attack
an acute angina attack
or a cardiac arrest
def make an appointment for evaluation with doc
don't stress to much if you are comfortable now, if it happens again go to er imediately

might be an anxiety attack ....

Please find yourself a good heart doctor. I had a heart murmur all my life and I would bet that its whats causing your problem. I didn't really have any problems with it until I turned fifty but you do need to go to a heart doctor and have his check you out. I do not want to scare you but if it hadn't been for my doctor (and lots of prayers) I would not be alive today. I eventually had congestive heart failure, an enlarged heart, and had to have my mitrial valve replaced. I think your real problems if you do have them are years away, but good doctor can make all the difference in the world.
