Answers: the pain should be gone in a few days

Drink hot tea?
Also, if you seem to be sleepier than usual, maybe go to the doctor? (( &get that sleep too. )) You might have strep or a virus.

take an aspirin..aspirin, not Tylenol. Put it on the back of your tongue and let it melt down your throat.
Later gargle warm salt water.
It works for me.

Salty foods help my throat when it is sore. Also honey, either a teaspoon plain or in hot tea helps. Gargle with alcohol-based mouthwash or just drink a splash of whiskey (or another strong alcohol) to kill the germs in there. Eat ice cream or cold soft foods, and if the soreness persists for longer than a week or two or gets worse or you develop additional symptoms, go see a doctor.

Go to the doctor! You could have strep or tonsilitis!

I know how ya feel! =(

-gargle salt water
-drink tea or something else warm/hot
-try Luden's Throat Drops (they are the yummiest throat drops in the world)
-chew some gum

Hope these help ya!

Usually I put an ice pack on my throat or press my throat really hard for about 50 seconds-1 minute.

Dissolve a tablespoon of salt in 3/4 cup of warm water and gargle with it. Gargle as long as you can and use up all the mixture. Do this every 3 to 4 hours.

gargle with cepacol...it has anti-bacterial fluids so it should help rid your mouth of bacteria which could develop further...if you don't have this mouthwash, or can't get it delivered, l suggest another mouthwash, or salt and water...also have warm water with honey and a squeese of lemon, the temperature is important, not to hot and not cold, just warm...stay away from sugary drinks and pop...also a humidifier is great, and if this persists go to a walk in clinic, you probably have something serious and will need anti-biotics.

Might be strep, if so you need to get medication from your docter.
