If an area a doc froze off came back...that IS skin cancer...right?!

Question: Also I have a communicating cyst that keeps a sore on top...is that cancer? This second one has been on my hand several years. I saw had doc twice. First time, he said wait until it gave me problems. He would hate to mess up my had by digging the cyst out. And that every surgery has risks.
Second time he saw it, he seemed ready to cut. No my fam doc is totalyy ready to get hand doc to cut me. That is since the freezing of first spot didn't work. Get it all done at the same time.

But does sore that never heal sound like cancer? I thought it was suppose to just be a cyst.

If the doctor treating you has not diagnosed you with cancer no one here can.

Anything removed from your body should be sent to a pathologist to review this is the only way to know for sure. There are still some doctors who will remove things in their office but not send it out to a pathologist. Everything removed from a patients body in a hospital is sent to pathology.

Cysts can grow back repeatedly, I remember having one under my chin and the doctor removed it but it grew back because he never got rid of it completely. The second time around he got it all out and it quit growing.

I'm not sure about cancer but it's definitely something that your doctor would talk to you about if he or she is concerned.

You really should see a dermatologist.Since they specialize in the skin, they are,of course, more familiar with skin cancers and the like, than a family doctor.Family physicians are only exposed to skin problems when someone comes in with a particular concern...on the other hand,a dermatologist sees those types of problems day in and day out.I really think it's time you got a second opinion...putting things off for too long, especially with certain types of skin cancers, can be extremely dangerous.By the way,I'm not saying that you have skin cancer, just think it would be wise to ask a specialist than to take a chance.
