It depends on when you ate last if this is bad. When you eat everybodys sugar level goes up. An hour after your blood glucose level should be less that 175. 2 hours after eating it should be between 70 and 100

was the finger stick fasting for at least 8 hours? or was it between meals? or after a meal?
It all depends on when you did the testing.
If it was a fasting test, I recommend you make an appointment with your doctor for complete physical including Complete Blood Count draw.
I would say you definitely are. Although it is normal for blood sugar to rise after a meal, it should not rise to that level. I would proceed under the assumption that you do have it and, if you have not seen a doctor, you should do so for a thorough evaluation. The doctor will do a fasting blood sugar and a HGB A1C. The latter test measures your average blood sugar over about a 6 week period. You also need a urine check to make sure you are not spilling sugar over into the urine and that it is free of albumin, RBCs and WBCs. Good luck.
