Is phenylephrine the same as phenylpropanolamine?!

Question: Phenylephrine is used to relieve nasal discomfort caused by colds, allergies, and hay fever. It is also used to relieve sinus congestion and pressure. Phenylephrine is in a class of medications called nasal decongestants. It works by reducing swelling of the nasal passages.
Phenylpropanolamine (PPA) is a drug of the phenethylamine family used as a decongestant and also as an appetite suppressant. In veterinary medicine, it is used to control urinary incontinence in dogs.

no, they only thing that is the same is that they don't work! if you have a sinus headache go get something with psuedoephedrine in it and don't waste your money on that other crap

No. Phenylpropanolamine was pulled from the US market some years ago. It's no longer available either in cold medicines or those silly "diet aids." Pseudoephedrine was the more popular substitute, but when its sale was partly restricted phenylephrine became the default decongestant of convenience. While pretty good as a topical agent (in nose sprays) or as an injection in selected cases of shock, it isn't very good as an oral drug, especially in the doses safe enough to be used in cold medicines. If you want to use phenylephrine for a cold, and do so rationally, you'll pick up a bottle of Neo-Synephrine spray or drops.

No not exactly..but neither one of them work..when I use these new products nothing happens..except I get a worse headache..and get slighlty nervous..the psuedo element which they banned was actually the only thing that worked..
