I too suffer from ingrown hairs! Here are a few things you can do:

First thing I find is that if I use a razor blade to shave my legs, it usually gets rid of the ingrown hairs too. So even after I wax or whatever, I also shave my legs.

There are also some creams/lotions out there that say they help prevent ingrown hairs.

And the best solution for them, which I personally use, is to get some sort of an exfoliating scrub. Not those regular loofas that you see in the stores, but something a little more abrasive and exfoliating. You can probably get it from a specialty store like the Body Shop. The scrub works great at reducing the ingrown hairs and also leaves your skin more soft as it removes dead skin.

If you can't find a good exfoliating scrub, I also sometimes use a pumice stone. They are usually used for scrubbing rough skin off of feet. It also makes your skin really soft if you use it for your ingrown hairs. But be very careful because its very rough and abrasive (since its made for your feet). It definitely does the trick for the ingrown hairs though.

Hope that helps, good luck!
