What causes grey hair to turn yellow?!

Question: when young my hair was nearly black. I started turning grey in my 20's and I did not mind it.. it became a nearly silver/grey and I still have most of it. now it is turning yellow AND I DO NOT LIKE IT... Also how do I prevent it from turning yellow

I've never seen grey hair turn yellow. My grandmother hair never turned yellow and her whole head is white. So if it's turning yellow shouldn't it just look like blonde hair!
