Our son recently had a sour thoat and it was viral. Is there anything we could do to ease these symthoms. We also both have allegies and severe sinus pressure

simplistic humidifier = a large pot of simmering water on the stove. Another would be simmering tea pot, on the free standing wood stove. Anything that produces heat can produce humidity. Even a hot shower will help.
Gee, I don't know, maye a HUMIDIFIER!!!!
use the steam from a hot shower
or boil water and put under ur nose
Boil water in a pot or a tea kettle and let the steam fill the rooms. Keep checking water level as not to burn your pot or house down!
go int the bathroom and put your hot water on constantly close the door and window and breath it in their you go a cheap but very effective way
You can put a very large pot of water on the stove, and it will make steam in the house so you can breathe better.
You could have a fever which makes a person have a headache too. Take some IB or Tylenol.
Drink liquids, water, broth, soup (not creamy though).
Stay off milk....it makes mucus.
Get a large bath or beach towel. Soak it thoroughly in the tub. Wring it out a bit and hang it in your bedroom at night with the door closed. As the towel dries, it will humidify your room.
you buy one in the electrical shop other than that i would move house
Fill a pot or pan with very hot water, if you have some Vick's Vapor Rub around then add that to the water. Get a towel and cover your head and hold your head over the hot water. Do this for as long as is comfortable and, this is going to sound nuts, but eat some good chicken soup. Chicken soup has been prescribed to help with pre-cold and cold/flu symptoms.
