8 month old with a chest infection.............?!

Question: my little girl is a little over 8 months and we had her at the docs yesterday.
She had a cold for nearly a week but the cough was really bad. They said she had a chest infection and prescribed me a weeks course of antibiotics (amoxycillin)
He also said if she wakes then calpol (infant paracetomol) can also be given if she seems a bit distressed by it!
Does this mean that when the antibiotics wear off during the night she will need a little extra relief from the calpol? She is given 3 doses a day which has made her a lot happier so far but obviously the last dose at 7pm is her last until the next morning at 9am.

Has anyone else had a baby with a chest infection and had similar things happen?

ps she may also be teething. Showing all the same signs as when her bottom two came in 2-3 weeks ago and the top gums seem slightly swollen. so i was wondering if thats why she could be wakening as well in pain.

calpol[acetaminophen] is a fever and pain killer---antibiotics are not[they kill the disease causing germs].
calpol can be given every five hourly or the night dose be doubled after consulting your doc.
teething pain could be a cause of discomfort.

It sounds normal.
If it worries you, call your doctor.
