There are numerous things that it could be and it is good that you eat right and exercise. If Imodium isn't controlling it then it might not be IBS. Try changing your diet around. You might be allergic to foods that contain dairy or soy. Or, you might be one of the few, like me, and be allergic to wheat - which is called Celiac disease. If you do see your doctor next week, ask him/her for Bentyl or Lomotil - these are both anti-spasmodics and will help with the diarrhea. Be sure to take them 30-60 minutes before eating and you should be okay. If you still have problems you should call a gastroenterologist to have a colonoscopy to check for any other problems. If you do not like the idea of taking prescription medications then you should try 'Align Probiotics' from Walgreens and take those for a few months. Those will rid your intestines of 'bad' bacteria and replace it with 'good' bacteria. I know you're thinking "Do I want bacteria in me??" Yes, you do......this is the good bacteria that is sort of like the kind found in yogurt.

Also, Imodium AD can be taken up to 8 times a day - even though the box says only 4.

It could be IBS.

do you have a china town near you? Ask for "fish pills" They are small, round foul smelling pills that wil solve your problem. Beware, they SOLVE the problem... Meaning you'll go dry for a while.
