I have a bump on my nose?!

Question: It's right next to my eyelid on my nose. I thought it was a pimple so I tried popping it a while back. It hasn't gone away and its been there for a week or two maybe. It's about two centimeters in width/height. It doesn't show if I have my eyebrows down but when I move my eyebrows up, the rest of the skin moves and theres a medium sized bump there. What can I do about this? I don't think it's a boil, I tried putting a warm wash cloth over it and it didn't come to a head.

i had one of those and it got bigger and infected over a period of 8 months. it's a cyst and you will probably have to have it removed.
you can try the warm ( very warm ) washcloth for 15 mins. a day about 4 times a day or try a warm tea bag on it. tea tree oil from the store might work too. if you don't see an improvement after all that, just accept that ya gotta go to the doc for an easy procedure to have it removed.
you really don't want this thing to get infected, it is capable of getting pretty big and even painful.
do not poke at it with a needle no matter what! i hope you decide to go in and get it taken care of by the doc.

It is called a cyst and you need to see your PCP and have him/her refer you to a dermatologist. It is a very simple procedure to have removed

Well, what I was going to say until I realized that you said it was two centimeters, I have had what I too thought was a pimple that lasted for weeks. After it wouldn't pop, I got brave and poked it with the tip of a 'clean' sewing needle. And that took care of it. What it was was a small, teeny grease ball. Sounds gross, I know. But it worked, it's gone. If you think this might be what you have and you do this, have a tissue close to wipe away the blood. Good luck to you.

might be a cyst which you do have to see a doctor about lt lf you want lt to go away
