Is a black tongue with a white paste and burning sensation down the middle...?!

Question: a sign of a yeast infection ?
I just finished having systemic candida that gave me asthma...
So I'm on inhaled steroids for the asthma...and swallowed steroids to help out...
I told my fam doc that the pills would give me another yeast infection...
He wanted to know why I didn't fuss about the inhalers...I said I did...just not to you...

So am I right...is the yeast infection back if my tongue is black with a white paste and burning sensation?

candida albicans infection of oral cavity[oral thrush] is a superinfection which can occur in those inhaling steroids.it is due to reduced local tissue resistance.
it gives appearence of milky white patches and spots---not black, as mentioned by you.it could be some other fungus.
you need a tongue scrapping tested for organisms[microscopy and culture]and suitable therapy.
gargling with warm water after each inhalation is a good practice. discuss with your doc.

yep! steroids don't work or yeast.. but they allow the yeast and bacteria to have a fertile, moist place to live with out any competition from viruses

Have you tried eating yogurt? May not cure your yeast infections, but it may make them fewer and more tolerable.

The inhaled steroids are probably the culprit and gave you thrush. Do you rinse your mouth out well after each use? That will cut down on the possibilty of getting the thrush back. I use the inhaled steroid and have not had one case of thrush yet but I rinse my mouth out after each use.
