Answers: do i? im 17 years old by the way

No. Anything under 70 is low. Diabetes is high blood sugar. When diabetics get low is when they're taking insulin, which drives them low. I've always gotten low blood sugar from time to time without being diabetic. Some people will tell you that it's a sign that you're going to get diabetes soon, but that's not always the case.

See your doctor if you're worried.

I doubt it. Now, if it were 464 on a regular bases, you might have cause to worry. In fact you need to eat some thing!!
Average glucose levels are usually between 90-140.

64 is low, have you recently gone an extended time without anything to eat? possibly even excercise?

if so, you might be low because of that, i suggest you eat something that has some carbs, like a piece of bread.

you can always go to the doctor and get tested, its very easy.

sometimes they can even tell from your urine, if youre spilling glucose

64 may be a bit on the low side but it depends on who measured it. a good guideline is how you are feeling. a level that low should be confirmed by a lab test and while it's possible you have hypoglycemia....diabetes is above normal, not below.....and btw....depending on the device the normal range can be anywhere from 70-100 to 80-120...so you need to keep that in mind. a finger stick could give a low reading if the specimen wasn't obtained properly.

Since it appears you are not diabetic I recommend you be careful when you use someone else's test equipment. You may draw the wrong conclusion without training.

Best Wishes.

64 is a tad low. It all depends on when you last ate in relation to when you checked your blood sugar.

If you checked it first thing in the morning, or before you ate anything, you might want to consider having a bedtime snack of two graham crackers, with a tablespoon of peanut butter on them, and a half a glass of whole milk. This snack has enough protein, fat and carbohydrates to keep your blood sugar level over the period of time you are sleeping.

No, but you may be hypOglycemic!

HypeRglycemia is also known as diabetes, which is too much sugar. HYPOGLYCEMIA is the opposite, or not enough sugar.
In either case, you want to see a doctor and ask to be given a fasting blood test.

Good luck!

That's not diabetic that's hypoglycemic! Go drink some OJ!

no.
if you had diabetes you would have more than 110.
