Really worried, can anyone help ? Serious question...?!

Question: About a month ago i found out i had Chlymadia. My b/f & I have been dating about 7 months. We could not tell who gave it to whom, cause neither of us had ever been tested prior, but we both took the antibiotics & waited the correct amount of time to have sex again. SO im thinking that I may have been the one to have it for a while, cause after i took the meds i started to see change in myself, things that i was thinking were normal, but were actually symptoms. These things were going on for a few years now. I have a real phobia of the doctors & want and need to go get tested for all STD's but can't get over the fear of being positive for something worse. The fear got worse after i found out i had this. I am scared to know the results & can't get over that. I am haveing some of the same symptoms again , so i am thinking that it was not fully treated and may still have it. Can anyone help me get over this fear or ways to stay calm if they do come back positive?

You should definitely just go in and get screened for everything. I did it when I found out my ex had been cheating on me and it wasn't a big deal at all. They just took one swab of vaginal fluid and a little bit of blood. I hate going to the doctor, too, but your health is SO important! Besides, if you do come back positive for something you'll be able to treat it before it gets worse and possibly gets spread to your boyfriend. AND once you do it you won't have to worry or think about it anymore! Wouldn't that be fabulous?

well chances of an STD are low... chances of 2 STD's are even lower...

To reply to the comment of two sti's being less common: VERY FALSE. chlymidia and gonorhea are detected together in 42% of people, which means they usualy have both...therefore they usually detect for both.

To answer your question discharge is usually clear/white and thickness depends on where in your cycle you are at. If its really clumpy and thick that could be a sign of a yeast infection.

There is a chance you and your partner could of transmitted before the meds were done, as in you had sex too early and still have it. There is a possibility you have also contracted gonorrhea as this is also associated with an abnormal vaginal discharge. It doesnt hurt to get checked out again if your worried or still experiencing the symptoms. If you were to leave gonorrhea untreated it can enter your bloodsteam and result in a severe infection or the liver, joints, brain and heart.

I wouldnt worry about the blame game, who gave it to w ho first, I would be more concerned with getting your previous partners checked out as they may also have it and not know. many people are asymptomatic (no symptoms) so it could have been anyone.

Best of luck

myles has not a clue about what he is saying!
chances of an s.t.d. are not low. and chlymadia doesn't like to travel alone, it is generally in the company of gonorrhea!
this is the most reported s.t.d. in north america! it can be contracted through vaginal sex, anal sex, and oral sex! you need to quit all this nonsense and get your azz into the doctor now young lady! right now~no more hesitation, no more whining. go do it.
left untreated it can lead to infertility, pelvic inflammatory disease, and ectopic pregnancy! it can be passed on to a child during vaginal birth!
women with chlymadia are five times more likely to contract h.i.v. if exposed.
you are playing with something very dangerous here little girl! and i tell you true, you desperately need to see your doctor immediately. don't let your b.f. talk you out of it, don't ignore it, go, now! it could save your life sweetie, i am begging you to get something done about it right now.
btw: complications for men is extremely rare, its women who really suffer with this one girl! please go to your doctor.

It would be worse not to know
take the tests try to stay calm and have fun with friends while waiting the results.

I have similar discharge it changes depending on my diet sometimes like i am close to getting a yeast infection then don't and back and forth, I've been tested for std's acouple of times and they are always neg. It can be something else or normal for you. But get it all tested to be sure.
