I have a cold. Which medication is better? Mucinex, Sudafed, or Zicam?!

Question: I started with Mucinex but I want to switch to something else. I took the last pill at 9 AM this morning. Is it OK to take a different medication from this time forward?

These cold meds all do different things.

Mucinex is an expectorant which helps you cough up all your phlegm out of your lungs.

Sudafed is a decongestant that helps clear your stuffy nose.

Zicam helps shorten the duration of a cold.

So yes, you can switch with no problem.
