Cold sore help? Advice please!!?!

Question: Ive had a cold sore for 6 days now, I think its at its last stage. Its cracking a little & kinda flakey (nasty!), but still 'weeping'. I know not to pick at it/touch it/ chew it/ whatevvvvv. From people who are familiar with the coldsore virus, do you think I should keep putting abreva and neosporin on it, or should I just let the air get to it? It would be great if it didnt look so nasty for school tomorrow .. please help!!

continue to use abreva NOT neosporin. Neosporin is thick with petroleum and will not allow the cold sore area to obtain air which will result in harboring the virus/bacteria. Hope this helps.

Is it not on the inside of your gums? Because that's where I get mine. I don't really use anything on them. I just let them come and go.

let the air get to it and do not worry about school maybe you could put a plaster over it? im sure loads of people have gone to school with cold sores lol

Keep putting the abreva on it, if it's still weeping, it still healing
