How to stop a Dry cough...?!
Question: my mom has this problem were most nights she can't sleep at first causes shes coughing none stop. Shes seen the doctor and they gave her medison which isn't working very well.
Does anyone know how to stop it when shes trying to sleep?

What I do is take a teaspoon or two of honey right before I go to bed. What this does is it coats your throat and eliminates the sensation to cough.
Dry cough...humidifier.
Wet cough........guiafenesin
If the cough is temporary such as with asthma, or cold, the doctor can prescribe any type of codeine based medication. It acts on the brain to stop the cough. (Tesselon perles, Atuss-hc, etc.)
Ask the doctor for her. Until she can get a good nights sleep, she won't get better any faster
