u wont have it at the moment, but ur chances of getting it is greater than some stranger whose bloodline has no history of cancer.

You may be prone to get it....it is not the same that you may get it.....

It puts you in a higher risk category to get it. It does not mean you have it. Just increases your risk of getting it in the future.

Everyone Is Born With Cancer Cells Already In There Systems Were Living Everyday With Cancer In Use But It Don't All ways Become Active In Everybody OK Some People It My Become Active And Some Will Live There Lives And Not Be Bothered With Cancer OK

You have to consider the genetics of a certain cancer gene. In genetics there are terms like autosomal dominance, recessive, x-linked, etc... Not all cancer are the same, some have the preponderance to develop on the 2nd generation or 3rd, some can develop later in the genetic lineage of your family. If the statement "relatives" would be considered then the risks are high and the prognosis would be not good as well.

You have a better chance of getting it, but not to later in life.

Well, it depends on how it runs in the family..kid,relax!

Not necessarily.

You can inherit a tendency to get a particular cancer, but you won't definitely get that cancer.

Scientists have identified some high risk faulty genes but these are rare in the general population. One example of a high risk gene is BRCA1. Women who carry a faulty BRCA1 gene have an 80% chance of getting breast cancer at some point in their lives - but this still means that one in five of women with the gene will not get breast cancer.
