Why does my skin break out, when I use foundation with SPF in it?!

Question: Either you are allergic to it or it is blocking your pores.

Try buying one that is for sensitive skin or one that is labeled as fragrance free or low allergy.

If that doesn't work, it is most likely clogging your pores. Sun screen is very heavy and heavy emollients often clog your pores. To help prevent this, wash you face with warm water prior to applying it and then put a toner on your face. A toner will cause your pores to close up, so that the sun screen won't get into them and clog them. If you want, you can buy a special one, but I find that the best toner is witch hazel. Its a natural plant extract and you generally buy it as a distilled liquid or gel. It can be found in supermarkets, health food stores and pharmacies. It is very cheap.

Apply the toner liberally to your face and then let it thoroughly dry for about 15 minutes prior to applying the sunscreen. I always do this...stops my make up from wrecking my skin.

If all that fails, see your doctor and they may send you to a skin specialist or prescribe you a special sunscreen.

Good luck!
