Listen - You should tell your parents, no matter how scared, worried or confused you are about all of this. I've found a lump on one of my testicles, and kept it to myself for a quite a while before having to see a doctor because I was quite ill, but my point is - You must tell your parents, and then go with them to see a GP, doctor or a urologist, so that you are not risking your own life. Good luck Jay

Tell them. Tonight. No excuses.

You should get screened for cancer. Think positively. Tell your parents and get it check out. It's probably not cancer.

What Is Cancer?

Cancer develops when cells in a part of the body begin to grow out of control. Although there are many kinds of cancer, they all start because of out-of-control growth of abnormal cells.

Normal body cells grow, divide, and die in an orderly fashion. During the early years of a person's life, normal cells divide more rapidly until the person becomes an adult. After that, cells in most parts of the body divide only to replace worn-out or dying cells and to repair injuries.

Because cancer cells continue to grow and divide, they are different from normal cells. Instead of dying, they outlive normal cells and continue to form new abnormal cells.

Cancer cells develop because of damage to DNA. This substance is in every cell and directs all activities. Most of the time when DNA becomes damaged the body is able to repair it. In cancer cells, the damaged DNA is not repaired. People can inherit damaged DNA, which accounts for inherited cancers. More often, though, a person's DNA becomes damaged by exposure to something in the environment, like smoking.

Cancer usually forms as a tumor. Some cancers, like leukemia, do not form tumors. Instead, these cancer cells involve the blood and blood-forming organs and circulate through other tissues where they grow.

Often, cancer cells travel to other parts of the body where they begin to grow and replace normal tissue. This process is called metastasis. Regardless of where a cancer may spread, however, it is always named for the place it began. For instance, breast cancer that spreads to the liver is still called breast cancer, not liver cancer.

Not all tumors are cancerous. Benign (noncancerous) tumors do not spread (metastasize) to other parts of the body and, with very rare exceptions, are not life threatening.

Different types of cancer can behave very differently. For example, lung cancer and breast cancer are very different diseases. They grow at different rates and respond to different treatments. That is why people with cancer need treatment that is aimed at their particular kind of cancer.

Cancer is the second leading cause of death in the United States. Half of all men and one third of all women in the United States will develop cancer during their lifetimes. Today, millions of people are living with cancer or have had cancer. The risk of developing most types of cancer can be reduced by changes in a person's lifestyle, for example, by quitting smoking and eating a better diet. The sooner a cancer is found and treatment begins, the better are the chances for living for many years.

This is a somewhat bizarre request bud, just outa curiosity are ya courting?.....Have ya checked to see if there's anything in that supposed, mysterious HOLE of yers?....Does something come outa it....like pee for instance, or do ya put things in it, anyway hope ya sort it out, good luck!....

You keep asking the question so you are very concerned. Is there any possibility your situation could have been caused by tight clothing rubbing against you? I don't know you but some girls wear ridiculously tight clothes, and since you're young you may have outgrown something but haven't stopped wearing it. If there hasn't been any physical activity that could have caused rubbing of your skin to create what in other questions you said might be a blister, you should see a doctor just to be certain. The odds are certainly in your favor that it is not cancer. Please forgive me for saying this, but just in case make sure you bathe daily and keep the area clean because who wants an infected blister in that area. Also if you to tend to wear your clothes tight, switch to your loosest clothing for a few days, and if you have underwear that are shaped differently and don't have the line in the place where the hole is, you may want to wear them.

as embarrassing as it might be to tell your parents that you might have a deformity, it's nothing compared to the slow, painful death of a cancer patient.

The only way you are going to know what is wrong is to go to the doctor. You do need to tell your parents. Don't be scared because they both love you and will want you to be taken care of.

Tell your mom and get her to look at it. She will know what it is and get medical help if needed. Never be scared to tell your parents anything. That is what they are for.
