What causes a BLACK TONGUE in a human? Suddenly appeared...not normally that way!

Question: Is a black tongue with a white paste and burning sensation down the middle...?
a sign of a yeast infection ?
I just finished having systemic candida that gave me asthma...
So I'm on inhaled steroids for the asthma...and swallowed steroids to help out...
I told my fam doc that the pills would give me another yeast infection...
He wanted to know why I didn't fuss about the inhalers...I said I did...just not to you...

So am I right...is the yeast infection back if my tongue is black with a white paste and burning sensation?

I don't know if this is what you have, but it does mention yeast. Good luck!

Could be from the steroid inhaler - if you read the directions closely, you are supposed to rinse your mouth out every time you use the inhaler; could be yeast but black is an unusual color for yeast; taken any pepto-bismol lately? This can cause black tongue as can taking iron tablets. If it doesn't go away on its own soon, I would probably have my doctor check it out.

I had that one time after a night of partying I took Pepto Bismol before I went to bed, so I could get up for work the next morning. Woke up and had a black tongue. THAT will freak ya out bad enough you will swear off drinking for awhile, let me tell ya.

If there is any bismuth in your medicines that could do it. Bismuth is in many medicines including Pepto-Bismol.
