Tiny dots on left hand and forearm?!

Question: I recently discovered that on my left hand and forearm, there are these very small red dots. The size would be similar to a grain of sugar. I am not going to count, but I'd say a rough estimate would be around 100 of these within 16.25-17.5 square inches. It isn't dirt or anything and it isn't on my right hand. Anyway, I dont think it is life threatening, but i'd like to know what it might be.
