I hear that a product called speva or something of that spelling is a natural sweetner. can purchase at health food stores.

Stevia which I order or ebay. Depending on the brand it can have a slightly bitter taste. I use it in addition to Splenda (mmmm chlorine).

Comming from a diabetic, (not from being too fat or not exercising too much, just being born with it) i would reccomend splenda.
when shopping for natural sweetners, make sure that the intake of carbs is low, since carbs are converted into glucose (a type of sugar) in your body.

honey, its natural and not sugar

honey-preferably local honey. Anything processed has additives used to process and they are not always on the label.

Honey (not if you are diabetic) aspartame and sacharin are natural sweetners with less or no calories.

My doctor suggested I use splenda.

If you are not diabetic, honey is good. Other wise Stevia is a good product. My doctor suggested I use Splenda... but I like aspertame better... mmm, chemicals... sweet, sweet chemicals, like another user said.
