Where is the bottom of the lung in relation to?!

Question: the back and the female breast.
I'm having pain on the right, about 2 inches below my breat. This pain radiates straight through to the back.
I have recently gotten over a collapsed lung. I am having lung issues. That is why it is sooo important!
I do plan to call doc in the morning.
But I'll take answers now too.

the ribs protect the lungs - so the bottom of your lungs are near the bottom of your ribs.

Collapsed lungs are very serious, so if the pain continues you should not wait until morning to call the doctor - you should go to the ER.

Call your doctor in the morning. If the pain is on the same side as the collapsed lung, you'll be having lung issues anyway. But consider going to the emergency room if you feel short of breath, or if the pain has gotten so bad that whatever you have for pain control (motrin, vicodin, etc.) doesn't seem to be working.

PS. Are you using your incentive spirometer? That thing where you have to make the little balls go up in the chamber? If your collapsed lung was really recent, you should still be using it...
