Is there any way to ease the effect of a hysterectomy on a young body?!
Question: The woman in question is young and has heard horror stories about post op for a hysterectomy. Everything from "you'll grow hair on your face and get a deep voice" to "oh my God, will you still be a woman?" What things will really happen and how can we ease them? Thanks for your answers!

I had a hysterectomy 2 years ago. I still have my ovaries so I don't need hormone therapy. I didn't realize how much pain I was in until it went away. Not only am I still a woman, but I'm a whole NEW woman!!! I feel fabulous!!!!
Have her get a second opinion. Post early hysterectomy you will have to take hormones.
hormone defeciency is not seen after simple hysterectomy.it only results when both ovaries are also removed.
it is easily treated by hormone therapy,so nothing to worry about.consult your gyno about the opn done and the requirement of hormone treatment.
All are myth. Nothing will happen to her. She needs only psychological counselling.
