It actually started with a gay male flight attendant, that they were able to trace back all sexual partners and determined that is who first brought it to the US. I believe some of the others infected by him or that infected him were in France.

AIDS came from monkeys in Africa, and it got into the humans because in Africa some people eat 'raw monkey brains' ... I don't have it (Thank GOD), but I have many friends who have HIV and a few who have AIDS, and I've lost friends to the disease ... and although I'm a 'middle class straight older married woman' both my husband and I will WORK TO STOP AIDS with our charitable donations ... in memory of the friends I've lost already.
no I dont have it,well atleast I pray i dont! (alot of people do not realize you can be tested 20 times and get neg. but still have it,aids has taken up to 6 yrs to show in some people systems,sometimes longer!!) They say it came from africa,which I do kinda beleive(not because of race,but because there are tons of unknown viruses in that country due to climate and animalss and poor liveing conditions) I do beleive that its from monkeys(dont believe however that its from haveing sex with one like alot of pople think)
I also sometimes think mabey we just have no idea at all were it came from,but what does it really matter were it came from?All that matters is we have it here,and bad,and we need to do something about spreeding it and cureing it rather then trying to figure out the orgins...my opinion anyway
Im not sure how the man got infected with aids in the first place !! But its has been traced to one man a gay flight attendant who spread the disease through promiscuous activities Although you cant really blame the guy i guess he didnt know what he had just that he was very sick but that never stopped him!
