Moles I have never noticed before are popping up on my body, should I be worried!

Question: So, I took notice to what I thought was a freckle on my arm (I'm a very freckly person), but turned out to be a new mole. Then, Noticed that there are loads more little dark "freckles" on my arms and legs that I never noticed before. I mean, maybe I just never payed attention to the because I thought they were juust freckles, but some of them make bumps like moles do. Another thing is, it's been very cloudy here and I have not been outside much at all, so I don't know where they could be coming from.

Should I be worried? I'm just paranoid, right?

The appearance or presemce of moles is simply hyperpigmentation (you may have a lot of natural melatonin). The presence of moles is not worrisome persay--- but you need to watch your moles carefully for any changes in size, color, shape, whether they raise, bleed out of their edges, become assymetrical, develop any darker or lighter areas- turn any color other than brown--- those changes may indicate cancer and if that happens see a dermatologist without delay.

stay out of the sun [they cause them]

They could be skin tags, which are very common.

im not sure, you could always "Call" the doctor and ask, instead of spending seventy to go in...... just call and ask what they may be, and look it up on google also...

good luck!
i hope they go away for you

Always pay attention to them. Most are normal but have a doctor look at them anyway.

You should only worry if they grow and if they get extra dark. If somehow that becomes the case, see a dermatologist and they will do a biopsy

you have to take care of yourself so just go to the doctor!

Check with your doctor. If they are new and popping up all over that could definitely be a problem. It's probably nothing and you probably just never noticed them, but it's better to be safe!

No don't worry. BUT get checked out by a medical doctor. No sense in worrying until you know what you are dealing with.

Good luck.

if they seem to have just come out of nowhere, and you're worried about them...i'd say get 'em checked out. like you said...maybe you just never paid attention to them before and hadn't noticed, but it's better to be safe than sorry.

If they are uncommon or strange looking I would suggest you go to a dermatologist and get checked for skin cancer or anything of that sort. BUT also it may not be anything to be too worried about, they just appear from the sun sometimes but it doesnt necessarily mean anything bad.
good luck and hope you arent too worried

If they are large in diameter like bigger then the tip of a pencil, or have different pigments (coloring) then you should get them checked out. Moles come and go I got a new mole on my neck and it was from the sun, I got it checked out by the doctor and it was nothing just a sun blister which is very common.

Sometimes it can be hereditary...or it could be from sun exposure. They are probably fine, but if you are really concerned, go visit a dermatologist, and have them check out the moles. They can usually get a pretty good idea of if they are okay or not just by looking at them. Normally, what you need to watch for is moles that have a strange shape to them, more than one color, or moles that get larger and/or change shape or color. Just be very aware of any changes you may see with them, especially if there is any history of skin cancer in your family.

make an appt with a dermatologist....
