Red "ring" around my neck?!

Question: I have developed a distinct red line that goes horizontally across the center of my throat. I don't know if it's windburn (although I wear a scarf) or what. It's been there a number of months. Any ideas on how to treat?

It may be a yeast infection (or fungal) ... it can occur in any fold of skin area (as in a neck crease) and then spread out from there. Especially if you wear a scarf over it keeping the air away from it. Try getting an antifungal cream like LotraminUltra and use it twice a day. If it is a yeast or fungal rash it should improve after only a couple of days of treatment, but use it for 10 to 14 days to make sure it is completely gone.

I would recommend getting a strong "name" brand cream, not a store brand, because yeasts and fungus infections are sometimes hard to get rid of and seem to respond better to the quality creams.

It's probably just like dirt or something, have you cleaned your neck? washed it whenever you shower, bath or whatever?
