I used to have bad skin...

Here is what you do to fix it:
1. CHANGE YOUR DIET. Soda, sugar, salty buttery stuff, white flour, and anything that has preservatives in it is definately NOT helping you. Reduce this today and you will see results within a week, I promise.

2. WATER water water water. Drink at least 64 ounces. I get those big chunky Smart Water bottles and drink 2 a day. This will give you results in about 3 days- no joke.

3. PRODUCT- Do not be fooled by labels- most stuff is worthless, your diet and water is the most important, but good product will actually save you money (you know all that money you waste on trying every product?) and time, and will do wonders for your skin and the most impotant thing- Moisturize your face every morning and every night- every time you wash your face, lather it on. It is uncomfortable at first, but remember that a lot of acne comes from skin being dehydrated, that is why the water and moisturizer is SO important. I have spent years trying and here is my skin product list that will definitely give you improvments:
*Proactiv cleanser works, but don't use the rest, it kind of dries up your skin.
*Philosophy Moisturizer called: "Hope in a Jar"- kind of expensive, but order it from ebay or qvc.com for a significant discount. You will LOVE this stuff!
*Cocoon Body Lotion by Amino Genesis"- also order on ebay for 1/2 the price. I use this on my face and it has done wonders!!
*Sea Breeze toner- really cheap and great for forehead bumps and extra cleaning, just make sure you put on moisturizer immediately after.

(I tried acne-free, didn't like it very much)

4. DO NOT USE FOUNDATION- It sounds like you are having a lot of external problems- try GloMinerals if you are covering up your skin every day- you can get all your products online and I have sourced all of them....Get some mineral make up immediately and throw your foundation liquid away NOW.

5. For your BACK- Do NOT scrub!! This is the worst thing you can do, it will irritate it more- and don't let your hair touch your back- there are a lot of chemicals in shampoo and conditioner that are back for the surface of your skin. I also found that tanning helps a lot for clearing up body skin- I don't tan my face though. I only go every once every 2 weeks or so and it really helps clear up bad back skin- I think light and sun is healthy for your skin no matter what people say...Most of all- when I stopped eating white flour and drinking beer - this is VERY hard to do because that means no bread no pasta- the deep welt-like ouch ones will go away...These are caused by INTERNAL problems which are usually an allergic reaction to wheat. Get Ezikial bread if you love bread and can't live without it- It is at Trader Joes.

Once I got this routine down, I would never go back to my old habits....I totally feel for the bad-skin people out there and love to help because it took me 10 years- My face has been my science lab, and I promise results if you follow the above rules!

i cannot believe i was not alone. that happened to me too. all that stuff. i tried everything. and then i went to a dirmetologist. (don't think i spelled it right.) a skin doctor. he gave me medicine that does work and special pills (THAT WORK!). you have to take the pills daily. that gets annoying. but it works. by the way, the white stuff is called "pus". look it up. i don't fell like explaining it. hope this helps.

Be careful with the medications. I am not anti-medication, but be sure you are done for at least a week or two before trying something else because in my experience that will tend to irritate the skin. One thing I did, and this may sound crazy, was I changed my detergent and I started washing my sheets every other day to ensure I wasn't getting more bacteria and dirt all over them. Shower twice a day, drink lots of water, and eventually it may go down. I have fairly oily skin, and I used to dry it out which caused acne to come back, now some say keeping the natural oils prevent this. It's a mixed result per person, and nothing is a sure-fire way to avoid this. Try those, and be dedicated to doing it. If you are inconsistent, the results may vary.

Ok, I HAD your problem, but fixed it. 1st of all, always keep your skin cleaned, and buy soap with those little balls in them. 2nd have you tryed any famous products? Proative NEVER worked for me...but Murad did! They have a body spray for scars...try that!

use moisterizer for dry skin
