Yes, as a rule- an elevated blood pressure and protein in the urine are the biggies they look for. The things you mention don't sound like pre-eclampsia is a problem at the moment. It sounds much like the usual 40 weeks, "I'm the size of the house, I forgot where my feet were" mom. At this point, the baby is putting on weight at a rapid rate, preparation for the big day. This is the part that is the hardest on most women as well. I recommend you just chill out as much as you can. Put your feet and legs up, watch the salt/sodium intake, and try to relax as much as you can. Let somebody pamper you for a while, and you store up energy. You are in the home stretch now, and with luck about the time you are ready to just explode, your little passenger will arrive. Then you will get to see your feet again, and not feel nearly so unwieldly and weird.

At present you don't have preeclampsia, since high blood pressure and protein in your urine is part of having (pre)eclampsia. If the fluid retention worries you, have a day of just fruits, without banana's, nothing else, you will loose quite a lot of weight and feel better, since in contains no salt at all. Frequently lying down if possible helpt too!

Well if your BP at 20 weeks was lower, then you do have high BP. You need to be induced.

i got preeclampsia refference, may help to clear
