Allergic reaction to z-pack or zithromax or azithromycin?!
Question: i had a sickness...i told my doc i thought it was the flu and she gave me z-pack...and after i took it i would get a rash or hives all over my body...mostly on my arms legs neck...is this normal and should i tell my dr i was allergic to it?

Its not normal. Definitely tell your doc about your rash. She will need to prescribe a different antiobiotic. The hives are technically called a reaction. A true allergy involves obstruction of the airway.

Yes, this is something that you need to report to your doctor. It could be an allergic reaction.
Yes it is an allergic reaction. I would stop taking that medication and call your doctor for another type of antibiotic.
