I have a problem with my nose! Any help would be apprciated!?!

Question: I breath well trough one nasal hole but the other one is blocked I cant breath trough the other hole I tried blowing on a tissue rinsing it with water and it's been like this for more than 7 months.I feel like its giving me a hard time talking. I have gotten used to it, but sometimes people cannot clearly understand me. Not only do I have a hard time talking but sometimes I have trouble getting sleep. I have no money or anything I'm 14. Do I need a surgery or something is there anyway to fix this?

thanks

You probably have a deviated septum. Have you had an blunt trauma to your nose? It is possible to be born with it and it not affect you until later. I found that I had one when I was 22 and had to have nasal surgery along with a tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy. It is not anything that insurance doesn't cover. I would tell your parents that you are having trouble and get to a doc. It can cause major sleeping disorders if untreated. You need to see and Ear, Nose and Throat doctor. If you parents have HMO you have to see your PCP first. Hope this helps and good luck.

In Canada you would go to your family doctor or a walk in clinic and be referred to a specialist. for your problems as we have Universal Health Care.

In the USA.. . You would probably have to have MEDIC AID. and then be helped or be referred to an EAR NOSE AND EYE SPECIALIST
IF YOU STATE HAS MEDIC YOU WOULD BE COVERED.
Among the groups of people served by Medicaid are eligible low-income parents, children, seniors, and people with disabilities. Medicaid is the largest source of funding for medical and health-related services for people with limited income
