Are there any young adults (20-30somethings) with hearing problems? I've got!

Question: What kind of hearing aids do you find that look good? In-the-ear or over-the-ear?

I hope to get new hearing aids soon and I've worn both types. I like the in-the-ear better since I had a bad experience with the other type back in 6th grade.

Any ideas? My hearing isn't horrible but it's not normal, considering that I have a 40% loss in both ears (it's genetic; my mom also has a hearing problem). The good news is that it won't get worse and the bad news is that it won't get any better.

Its just a matter of personal preference. Some people find the in-the-ear aids to be uncomfortable or can't get them to fit; other people have the same problem with over-the ear ones; and the different brands vary. At the clinic where my wife goes, they let you try out different styles before buying. My wife tried 5 different aids before settling on an over-the-ear model. Its so tiny, you can hardly see its there.

Neither is mine. Firing too many weapons with no ear protection ruined mine while I was in the military.
I don't wear any I just get by best i can.
