Can a 49 year old man get testicular cancer?!

Question: i am 49 years old and recently noticed a lump in my right testicle. i heard that only young guys in their 20s and 30s were at risk for testicular cancer. Is it possible that i could have it at my age, i'm really worried, should i seek help?

Testicular cancer is most common between the age of 15 and 34. Signs and symptoms of testicular cancer include pain or swelling in the testicles, lumps or nodules in the testicles- may have pain or no pain, enlargement of the testicles or change in the way a testicle feels, Pain in the lower abdomen, back, or groin, and swelling of the scrotum or collection of fluid within the scrotum. Quite possibly it is not cancer, but you should see your doctor for an evaluation. You can read more about testicular cancer here

unfortunatly cancer has no age limits. maybe what you heard is that men from 20-30 are at a higher risk. if there is something there that wasn't there before, yes, have it checked asap just to be safe. just because it's a lump doesn't mean it's cancer so don't worry yourself too much since worrying too much can make you sick!!
make an appointment

best wishes

Yes it is more then possible! They find more testicular cancer in older men. Get to a doctor and get the blood test done!
