Why do I get bed sweats?!

Question: In a cold weather, I get chills and cover come blankets and then later I sweat in bed then I had take off the blankets off and on and off. Was I having a cold, mild fever, or anxiety? Im 37 years old, I exercise, eat small meals, and do not smoke.

Thanks!

Night sweats are usually defined as episodes of significant nighttime sweating that soaks your bed clothes or bedding. This is a fairly common problem that many people experience from time to time.

Although uncomfortable, nighttime sweating typically isn't a sign of a serious underlying medical condition. It may be triggered by something as simple as too warm a room or too many blankets on the bed. Potential medical causes of night sweats include:

Menopause
Anxiety
Medications such as certain high blood pressure drugs, over-the-counter fever reducers and antipsychotics
Drug or alcohol abuse
Gastrointestinal reflux disease (GERD)
Diabetes

hope this helped :)

I don't want to scare you but my husband gets the sweats at night and his doctor told him they should NEVER be ignored. My husband has Hep.C, don't think it's a sign or side effect but don't ignor it. See your Doctor!

cover with lighter blankets, and you don't say how you dress for bed. and are you taking any medication? if so,maybe you should Google it and read up

Believe it or not men also go through a change of life. Usually the symptoms you describe could be caused by low testoserone. It can be checked with a simple blood test.

I too, do not want to scare you, but from my own experience, I found out I had lymphoma after complaining of having "terrible hot flashes" that caused me to sweat in the middle of the night. As it turned out, it was not hot flashes, but "night sweats" and after a battery of tests, I was diagnosed with lymphoma.

Do not ignore this, go to the doctor and get this checked out, even if it is just for peace of mind..

Geri said whata i was going to...get checked to be sure
