I have a large (2 inch by 1.5 inch) boil growing between my left buttock?!

Question: and my scrotum, and a further though slightly smaller one on the rear of my right leg.

Would a salt bath, or soaking them in a salt solution help?

Any other ideas?

Even though its kinda embarassing you need to go to a doctor to get them "popped" then put on antibiotics so that you dont develope a staph infection...which will just keep spreading. Don't freak out, just get to a doc and get it taken care so you dont have to deal with anymore :)

doctor

go to a doctor and get them taken care of right away, if they get infected your going to be in a lot of pain, I learned this the hard way.

Bath water as hot as you can stand it. Also, hot compresses should help to bring it to a head.

you can draw out any pus if you go to your chemist they will give you a cream to apply

Sit in a fire.

DON"T PICK AT IT. get to an urgent care for an I&D and antibiotics. keep your hands clean.

Really hot water and a flannel (as hot as you can stand it).Keep dabbing it and eventually it will come to a head and burst.

Go To The Doctor

I'm going to repeat what everybody else has said: go to the doctor, immediately. Do not pick it, you can get an infection into the blood stream. You don't know how many new bugs are out there, and they are deadlier than ever and are resistant to drugs. The small boil or carbuncle can cost a life nowadays, and here I am not exaggerating. And for God's sake, stay away from saunas, public showers, gyms, anywhere with close bodily contact, do not share towels or any other items of personal hygiene if you have an open wound from the boils.
