Gargle often with warm salt water. Sea salt it best but reg will do . I swear to you, it is almost magical how well it works. Good luck and feel better

Have a Wonderful Wednesday :)

Lemon Juice and warm water

try beechums

Gargle with salt water or diluted TCP,

Got any honey and lemon squash - if so make yourself a hot honey and lemon - loads of honey in it

Gargle with salt water or make a drink of warm lemonade and honey this soothes the back of your throat...

drink lots of cold drinks and if its that bad go to a doctor, ooh n also, save ur points and google it

2 paracetamol every 4 hours, plenty of fluids, and a spoon of honey should see you right

hot lemonade and honey is good

stay away from dairy and keep track of what you eat then show your doctor

I like tea with lemon and honey.

I also highly recommend gargling with salt water at least 3 times a day.

Tylenol will really help.

...lemo-real ginger sliced and boiled with water-es nasty but it works.

Gargle with a soluble aspirin ( if not allergic ) or soluble paracetamol. Swallow the gargle and this will also help to take the pain away.

Gargling with TCP or antibacterial mouthwash will help to kill the bacteria that cause a sore throat.

Hot honey and lemon drinks will help soothe (as will sucking normal fruit gum/jelly sweets)

Eating fried onions also helps as the acid strips away the bacteria (same way the lemon works in the hot drinks). Have a burger, hot dog or pasta dish with them in

best thing recomended bye doctor was asprin.but then a day later we found out it was tonsilitous but its not that unless u can hardly talk :) get well soon.

if its a sore throat associated with post nasal drip drinking coca cola will help becuase it burns the uhh well flem for lack of a better word...but otherwise honey and gargling and all the other stuff people said are great too!

Mouthwash, and popsicles (or other cold foods) reduce the pain, but only for a brief time. Keep yourself warm, rest regularly, and keep hydrated with water and warm tea. With respect to medication, anti-bacterial or antii-nflammation would work to provide relief. Lastly, swallowing a couple teaspoons of raw lemon or lime juice several times a day may help destroy microorganisms in bacteria-related throat infections.

Cup of cammomile tea with honey.

Some home remedies: gargling, drinking warm lemonade w/ honey or tea w/ lemon and honey, sucking on hard candies. Some inexpensive drug store remedies: pectin based throat drops like Halls Breezers, Chloroseptic spray, analgesic like ibuprofen (advil/motrin), acetaminophen (tylenol) or aspirin.
It would help to try to figure out why you have a sore throat. If it due to post nasal drip, taking an antihistamine might help. If it due to an infection, you'd probably have to see a doctor. If it's do to overuse (like too much talking or screaming) or an activity that isn't so good for you (like vomiting to lose weight) stop doing what's causing the soreness.

85% of sore throats are viral and their duration is unaffected by anything you can do or take. The remaining 15% are bacterial, though statistically treatment with antibiotics only reduces the symptom duration by 24 hours.

Take plenty of fluids, and take regular paracetamol and/or ibuprofen, provided you have no contraindications. Do not gargle with salt, which is dangerous, nor with aspirin as this is irritant. Neither lemon nor honey, ancient and persistant old wives tales, make much difference.

Eat ice cream, gargle with diluted TCP, keep drinking iced cold water to soothe the pain.

You can buy 'Difflam' gargle from the chemist which acts almost as a local anaesthetic and numbs the throat area. It also comes in a spray so you can spray it directly down your throat. I swear by it and I get tonsillitis regularly!

Get well soon x

home remidies are just physicosymatic symtoms appear to dissappear but actually don't if you have an infection usually antbiotics are required exept if it is a viral infection as these don't work on them. my mam used to give me warm milk and a nob of butter with a small tot of whiskey but i think it just made me sleep and you know what people say mother nature is the best cure to all illnesses
