Asthma -- How severe is this?!

Question: Every time I
1. eat
2. drink
3. get hot
4. get cold
5. take medicine
6. try to lay down

I have an attack. Is that severe?

Everytime I go somewhere, I have to plan it by the weather. If the temperature is not aroung 70 degrees, I have a spell.

Does all this sound severe?
I take my inhalers and just finished 4 days of steroids pills.

What do you think?

What do you think?

Yes, that is severe. You need a daily medicine to control you asthma along with an emergency inhaler.

Perhaps some sessions with a respiratory therapist will help too.

Doesnt sound good, you must see a doctor.

You must realise that this is very severe. You're possibly on the wrong inhaler. Your asthma should not be affecting your life this much. You could realistically end up in the hospital for a long stay soon.

You should talk with your asthma nurse/doctor about what course of action would be best to take.

maybe the doctor could try Advair. I would also see if they can test some other things too. You could have some type of virus or something that has turned chronic.

Absolutely, it sounds like you have severe, uncontrolled asthma and I'd recommend that you see your physician to adjust your dose of advair or whatever you take, but you clearly are not controlled on the regimen that you are on. You may need a higher dosage of advair plus have an appropriate rescue inhaler with you at all times.

PLEASE make sure you never forget to take you're inhalers.

My friend died 2 years ago of an asthma attack so if it gets really bad make sure someone takes you to the hospital before it's too late.

To me it sounds severe. I think you definitely need to tell your Dr. whats up because that sounds crazy that you have an attack everytime you do those things. I hope your Dr can perscribe something else or addition to your meds. I wish you the best!

Go consult a respiratory specialist NOT a GP..

Tell your doctor about your condition & ask him to give you an asthma action plan and an asthma diary.. You should do follow-ups every 3 months with your specialist..

HTH.. :-)
