Laryngitis is not permanent. It is often associated with upper respiratory infections (viral and bacterial) but it can happen even when you don't have a a URI.

Rest your voice. I have had this a few times and I am such a verbal person, resting my voice nearly killed me LOL.

Tea with honey and lemon is good, hot ginger ale is good too and can also be laced with lemon and honey. These remedies won't cure the laryngitis but will make you feel better.

If the loss of your voice persists more than a few days its time to be checked by your doctor.

Rest and get well soon.

it might be larynjitust (sp?)

you can lose your voice with a cold due to coughing and throat irritation. you can use lemon and hot tea to help relax your throat and you can also gargle with salt water to help any irritation. i hope it helps. feel better : )

yeah and i dont know how but look it up on google or call a doctor.

i'm not sure but don't say much try to write stuff down instead of talking and drink warm liquids

You have laryngitis, your larynx (in your throat) is swollen? Many people lose their voice, especially during the flu season and after a game or a concert sometimes due to overusing your voice; as in screaming or yelling or talking too much, etc.

Laryngitis is normally caused by a virus and mainly people that use their voice alot, like singers.. Sometime it can be from bacteria ... best thing to do is rest your voice and try to keep quiet if you can..

I lost my voice once when I had to get used to air conditioning after a long hot week of camping. I think it was just caused by the transition. Gargle with salt water, or take a couple spoons of soy sauce. Try to talk less, and just baby it for a while. It'll be back in a few days. And if you have other symptoms, it might be an infection. (I doubt it, after what you've said)

it's the flu.
