I have white crust near my big toe?!

Question: There is a a hard layer of white crust on both my big toes. When I pick at it they're flakey and hard to the touch. It's right behind the nails about 2 by 4cm. Is there any type of ointment that can treat it?

thats a fungus, i get in myself from time to time when i switch nail shops and stuff like that or if they dont use clean tools on my feet. ive tried almost every over the counter solution and none of them work. cutting it out doesnt work either., i went to a dr and he gave me pills to take for like 12 weeks or something like that, but a friend of mine told me that when she had this problem that she put vicks vaporub on the spot a few times a day for about a month, and it killed the fungus. ive tried it, and it does work, but you have to use the vicks at least 2 times a day

I hope you mean millimeters,2X4 cm.would be larger than your toenail. You have a fungus.

Might be toenail fungus, go to a drug store and buy an ointment for it ask someone at the counter.

try changing your socks more offten
