Is it true that a vaccinated man usually has a mark of "8" on his arm?!
Question: Smallpox vaccinations have not routinely been administered in the US since October, 1971.
By convention, smallpox vaccinations were administered on the left arm. A successful vaccination was marked by a raised papule that rapidly scabbed over. The scab fell off in about 1 - 2 weeks and left a permanent scar. To me, the scar looks more like an "o" than an "8". But the shapes varied.
