Really thirsty but drinking ANYTHING is not helping.?!

Question: I've been REALLY thirsty today. It started this morning. I felt a little dizzy for maybe 3 seconds so I had some water. It helped only a little. After a minute I was thirsty again and my mouth felt dry. I drank a lot of water.
Then I guess my thirst stopped. Around lunch I got really thirsty again and had to drink a lot of water.
Then I was fine,
but now its back! I'm really thirsty! I was drinking water and I had at least 3 glasses! I was still thirsty so I had ice tea. It didn't help. I then had orange juice, which I'm drinking right now but I still feel REALLY thirsty.
It feels like after I swallow the drink, it dissappears. Its like it didn't even go down my throat.
Does anyone know why I'm this thirsty?
What are some things that could be causing this?

diabetes? Get your blood sugar checked. If you don't want to go to the dr. right now, you can go to a drug store and pick up one of those blood sugar monitors. Both my granmas were thirsty all the time and were diabetic. Dizzyness is also a sign of high blood sugar or electrolyte imbalance. Try picking up some low cal- powerade or gatorade and see if that helps any. G2 I think it's called. I do think that it is probably your blood sugar though. I've found that taking 200 mcg Chromium supplements helps tremendously. You can also try ginseng or cinnamon supplements. Eat lean protein with every meal. Cottage cheese is a good snack. Please get you blood sugar checked.

If your day began dizzy and the thirst wont stay away, it is possible that you could be diabetic, If I were you, I would make an appointment to have your blood sugar levels tested.

Extreme thirst can be a sign of diabetes. If it continues, you will want to be checked by a doctor.

Dehydration, working out a lot, Flu, smoke to much weed and your getting muck mouth. Do you have the munchies to go along with the dry mouth. lol maybe drink too much alcohol recently.
Many causes - since you had felt dizzy perhaps you are just dehydrated. Stay with water for the best rehydration - a cool shower to help rehydrate your skin. Keep the liquids coming. Make sure you are going to the bathroom regular - if you aren't peeing a least once in a while you may have something wrong especially if you drink that much water.
If you are not taking some sort of diet pill, going to the tanning salon, excercising to the extreme or can figure out some other reason why you should be so thirsty then perhaps it could be some illness. If you continue to feel dizzy there must be a reason, dont wait too long to see a doctor if this continues because im sure there is some illness that could cause problems - that is if you cannot figure out what would cause your thirst and dizzyness. good luck

sounds like you might be diabetic. drink stuff that has sugar in it, but not tons, just enuff to taste it. I do iced tea w/ sugar but not like the syrup in the restaurants. then if I get where it seems like the tea isnt enuff I drink either orange juice to get my sugar up right away or I down some very cold ice water then go back to the tea. the tea has helped me alot.
