AIDS and immunisation?!

Question: DO NOT ANSWER IF YOU DONT HAVE FACTS

Can a person with AIDS have immunization or will their body develope the disease to it's full extent.

NO.. not imunisation against AIDS people. haha I mean If someone has AIDS can they get imunisations..as in thye ones the rest of us get. MMR stuff like that. Imunisation contains a small amount of the virus that the body will be protected from. Your body fights that off and then you are immunised against that disease.. IS this also the cause for someone with AIDS.???

I have read alot of it but no where does it mention vaccinations for normal diseases and whether or not you can take them if you have Aids

This is a great question! Another issue is the fact that HIV positive/ AIDS patients cannot mount an immune response to the vaccine therefore the vaccine may not work.

Here is some info on immunizations for HIV positive patients:

I am trying to find more info...

There ARE no immunizations for AIDS. There are things to help slow down the process but in general, you will eventually develop full blown symptoms.

immunizations are usually always a dead form of the virus, meaning it won't multiply and spread. your body will still see it as something that doesnt belong, conquer the dead virus and produce antibodies against it.

Yes. absolutely! A person with Aids is immunocompromised which means that you have a higher chance of catching an communicable infection of some sort. Many health professionals do indeed recommend immunzations to those whom are immunocomprised, or high risk for infection. There are a few guidelines however, be sure to know what medications you are taking before getting an immunzation, and be sure that don't have a fever. I hope this helps some!
