What causes light sensativity to a 6year olds eyes?!
Question: My 6 year old has had problems with itchy,swollen,irritated eyes for a year or more.I have tried allergy medicines,both perscribed and over the counter.In the last week she has developed a bad light sensativity.I can't even turn on her light in the mornings and she is asking to stay in from recess at school.She also is complaining of her ears hurting and having a hard time hearing.

Light colored eyes are sensitive to bright lights and bright sunlight but you're not describing that kind of problem. It sounds like it's time to take your 6 year old to the doctor and find out what's wrong. The problem sounds like it's getting worse .... You don't want to risk your child's eyesight or hearing.
a year or more -GET THE KID TO A PEDIATRICIAN OR PEDIATRIC OPTHALMOLOGIST.
I have seen the same thing in kids who have had serious issues. Get them to a doctor for testing right away. Could be as simple as an eye issue (needs glasses, etc) or it could be as awful as a brain tumor. I wouldn't chance it.
