So I ITCH...?!

Question: bad. Especially when I'm ready for bed, get under the covers and try to dream.

I have allergies and everything with perfume in it (soaps and detergent) sends my body into a tizzy and I itch real bad. It won't stop until I take a shower and rinse it all away!

My mother thinks it's all in the pops that I drink. And I like a lot! I know pop itself is anything but happy and should be consumed sparingly or not at all.

PLEASE tell me it's NOT the pop! (:

you have to use a dye and perfume free detergent when washing your bedding and clothes. try dreft it is used for babies or try one that says free and clear don't remember the name but there is a bunch out there. start there and see if it helps. i really don't think it's the pop at all!!!!!!

Sorry but yes it is most likely Mom is right. The only time I ever broke out in hives was from too much soda pop.
A healthy alternative is ice water. And once you get used to it you will feel so much better since most of the population lacks having drunk enough of it.
You need to try to give it up to know for certain-it is worth a try isn't it? To not feel miserable? The symptom of itching occurs at night because you are relaxed enough to feel the sensation.

Maybe you have bed bugs, that would make sense as to why you itch when you go to bed. Or your house may have fleas if you have a pet that isn't treated regularly. You could have fleas and not even know it because they are very small and very fast. It's possible that you are the only one that notices because they tend to discriminate or you are the only one that is allergic to them. If you take pain killers they will cause you to itch as well. I'm sure there are other reasons but I can't think of any. Good luck in finding what is wrong.

Yeah, I am sorry to tell you, but your mom is right. Too much pop can give you some problems.

boy what memories,i had a cousin in the same boat as you.unfortunately your mom is right,it's the acid in the drinks thats making you feel the way you do so i guess you have to cut back on your soda drinking and drink water.you are funny though,i totally feel you cause i'm allergic to shellfish but i will forgo the itch and pop a shrimp every now and then.

The pops certainly aren't helping matters. But if it happens when you go to bed, it's probably the laundry detergent. Try to get a hold of one free of perfumes and dyes.

Good luck!
