Is magic johnson really cure from aids?!

Question: There is currently no "cure" for AIDS, and its effects were devastating before we had good treatment. Nowadays there are medications that prevent the HIV virus from replicating, and when used in combination help to keep the HIV virus levels essentially zero. But the meds have to be taken for life.

In people infected with HIV, the virus affects the immune system such that T-cell counts are low, their body is unable to ward off other illnesses, which people end up dying from. Generally people with HIV don't develop AIDS until their T-cell counts fall below 200.

If Magic Johnson is taking these medications, and taking them properly (and most likely he is), chances are that the virus is suppressed from replicating, and his immune system is still able to function normally, which prevents him from developing full blown AIDS.

No. There is no cure for HIV/AIDS. He's doing well because of the medications he takes.

no there is no cure..its just that he takes the best medicine available which is very expensive and if you do that..people with aids can live a long time

no. why do people think that

he never had AIDS. He has HIV and is doing well from the medications so it hasnt turned into AIDS.

He got treatment early when he found out he got HIV so it has not evolved to AIDS yet. His HIV level right now is barely detectable, that is how much the stuff he has been taking have helped.
