Is it dangerous to let a yeast infection go untreated for a couple of days?!
Question: I just realized this morning that i have a yeast infection, i have a doctors apointment on monday with my gyno anyway so i figured i would just wait and see what she wants me to do before i go and spend a bunch of money on the treatment from the store, is that safe?

crap
that stinks
probably more 'uncomfortable' than dangerous, as long as it's only a day or 2-
but it can get pretty bad pretty quick
just the gentlest generic drug store brand of a treatment shouldn't be that much
u can also eat yogurt, or apply it to increase essential bacteria and decrease the harmful bacteria
edit-i can vouch for ty4nothing and darby-i used plain yogurt because the same thing happened to me, but it was late at night, so i just used what i had, and it worked like a CHARM
yes
Not really dangerous, but definitely annoying and itchy. You might start producing a foul odor though...
It's not a good idea if you can avoid it. Check out these sites for more information:

It's really not that expensive for the over the counter stuff. I would just buy that. If you know you have a yeast infection, I don't think it's really necessary to see a doctor.
call her
Eat yogurt and you can even put some plain, regular yogurt down there.
It isn't dangerous but I am sure it is very uncomfortable and remember you can pass it on to your partner. If you don't want to spend a lot of money use plain natural yogurt internally and externally works a treat and you may not need any medication at all
yes the longer you wait the worse it will attack other areas in your system
Sweetheart, the longer you wait the more painful it's going to be. I would call now and just have your dr. call in the medicine to the pharmacy. I had the same problem a couple weeks ago where I thoght I could wait--2:00 that morning I was bitching at myself for not calling to get the medcine. trust me--call. Diflucan can't hurt either way (and it's only $3)
ew stinky! Maybe you should try getting a protective order against it
