Could it have been an allergic reaction ?!

Question: Last night about 2 hours after supper, I started itching like crazy EVERYWHERE! I could not stop scratching, even the insides of my ears and mouth itched. My eyes got a little puffy, (but that could be because I didn't take out my contacts for 2 weeks)...so I took a lukewam bath, that did not help. Took a shower, did not help. Took some benadryl to see if it would help but all that did was zonk me out, this morning when I woke up I still itch , just not as bad as last night.

heres more info
1)I had a fish taco with cilantro and salsa for supper
2)have not changed soaps/laundry/etc.
3)my STOMACH is sensitive to shrimp, but I never felt like this before
4)I am not allergic to animals
5)I've never been allergic to ANYTHING before -what could this be?! and what can I do for the itching!?

It was definitely an allergic reaction to something you ate. You can develop allergies at any time. You need to see an allergist. If you eat whatever it is again you could have a much worse reaction. For the itch take an oatmeal bath, that might help...........

It sounds like food allergies. The benadryl should help temporarily, but depending on how bad the allergy is... I would suggest during the day you try some claritin or zyrtec. If you are not better by tommorow morning, go see a doctor, who will give you a prescription, or give you a steroid shot.
