Horrible persistant Cough! How can I ease the symptoms?!

Question: Im pretty sure I have an asymatic cough but I dont have time to go to the docs and get a prescription for an inhaler. Its never serious, resulting in an asthma attack or anything. Just really annoying and persistant and my throat aches from coughing so much. I even cough so much I get dizzy and get fever like symptoms. How can I ease the symptoms without medication.

I have tried cough syrup, cough drops, water, everything...doesnt work

Put off something else that makes you too busy and your life is more important. See the DR.asap. IT could be bronchitis and others have mention other things, just go have it checked for your own heath, or these other things might not matter.;;

my son is an asthmatic and please don't mess with it. The only thing, until you get a doctor that might help is rub vics vapo rub on your feet, yes I said feet. Just try it.

Please see a Doctor. And, try to quit smoking (if you smoke). Not to scare you, but, I have a friend who has been coughing (and complaining of a sore throat) since last June ... long story short ... he was just diagnosed last week with Lung Cancer. You NEVER KNOW what's going on. Please take care of yourself. Best Wishes.

The winter respiratory bug has left many people with a lingering, persistent cough. Doctors are recommending an over the counter cough med every 6 hours, increase your fluid intake of water daily (this thins secretions), run a humdifier in the bedroom where you sleep and consider asking your doctor for Hycotuss or some other prescription cough med that will help you sleep at night.

I also had a bad cough and phlegm for about 3 months.Went to doctor and he would prescribe antibiotic ,but never helped also spent a lot of money on cough remedies,but nothing worked.I was living at daughters then and she had a dog.so one day she decided to get rid of her carpeting,a few days later my cough was gone.Apparently I was allergic to dog dander,which was in the carpet.If you have a pet and carpeting,your cough could also be an allergy.Best to see your doctor first.
